As you guys have probably seen on my instagram account, I traveled to Mykonos this June. It has been on my bucketlist for as long as I can remember! I am incredibly grateful that I finally had the chance to visit the beautiful island this summer.

We always started our day by drinking fresh orange juice and walking around the streets of Mykonos. There are so many little shops on this island, so it is the perfect place to stroll around and get inspired.

I really loved exploring the old town of Mykonos. It is so small that you can do everything by foot.
However, I really recommend renting a car or boat if you want to take day trips from the island. There are also local buses which you can use – check the times first though as they don’t run very often.

If you want to visit a beach, I highly recommend Psarou beach. It is a beautiful beach on the island and it was pretty easy to get there by bus.
Another recommendation is to wake up early and walk around the streets before the shops open. Everything looks so different and is totally empty in the mornings.

FLOWER SPOTS
If you know me, you know that I am obsessed with flowers. Mykonos basically felt like heaven to me. If you come in May or June, you can experience the bougainvillea in full bloom.

WHERE TO EAT
Lalala Mykonos: I loved this restaurant for breakfast or brunch. They had amazing pancakes, greek yoghurt with honey and fresh fruit or savoury options like scrambled eggs.
Healthylicious: The most amazing healthy restaurant we found in Mykonos. So many delicious options for people who are into healthy eating, vegan/vegetarian or have allergies. Perfect for breakfast or lunch.
Sea Satin by Gryparis: My absolute favourite dinner spot. We had amazing greek fish in this restaurant. The people there were super friendly and also prepared the most delicious food. The restaurant is located near the Windmills and you have a view on the ocean.
Mamalouka Restaurant: After taking loads of photos outside this restaurant (it is the one with all the pink flowers), we had a really yummy lunch there. They serve amazing sea food and pasta.
Little Venice: This place has so many nice bars for a perfect night out in Mykonos.

Sunset in Mykonos
The sunsets in Mykonos are amazing. I highly recommend visiting the 180° Sunset Bar to have a drink and a beautiful view. Another great spot to watch the sunset from are the Windmills in Mykonos.

I loved traveling to Mykonos and would recommend visiting this island to all of you. I really hope you enjoyed this blogpost! Please let me know which other places I should cover in the future.
Lots of love, Lena xx
