I traveled to Lisbon this June and I have to say it became one of my favourite cities in Europe. It has many beautiful streets, cute houses, delicious food and nice people.

How to Get around in Lisbon
The easiest way to get around in Lisbon is just by foot. It is very hilly, but it’s the best way to see all the beautiful corners and charming streets.
If you don’t want to walk everywhere, you can also take one of the cute yellow trams, which is also a nice experience.
What to see in Lisbon
1. Alfama
Alfama is the oldest neighborhood of Lisbon. If you want to spend an afternoon in the city, definitely walk around in Alfama. There are so many cute houses in this neighbourhood, which are also perfect for pictures:) It also contains many Fado bars and restaurants.

3. Miradouro de Santa Luzia
This must be Lisbon’s best sunset spot, the view there is amazing. It’s also full of pink flowers and beautiful tiles.

4. Elevador da Bica
This yellow tram is an icon of Lisbon. It connects the Rua de São Paulo with Calçada do Combro/Rua do Loreto. The tram operates every 10 minutes and you can take the tram for 2€. It’s also a great spot to take some cool photos.

5. Pink Street

6. Museu Nacional do Azulejo
This museum is a bit outside the city, but definitely worth a visit. It is also called “National Tile Museum”, as it features a lot of traditional Portuguese tilework.

7. Belem Tower
Belém Tower is very close to Ponte 25 de Abril, a famous bridge in Lisbon. So you can definitely combine those two attraction.

8. Santa Justa Lift
The Santa Justa Lift is a very famous elevator in the heart of Lisbon. It was built to connect two neighborhoods, so people didn’t have to walk all the way up. It’s design is very different to the other buildings in Lisbon as it was inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris. You can buy a ticket to the Elevator at the entrance at the bottom.
Where to stay in Lisbon
There are many different neighbourhoods in Lisbon. If you want to stay in the centre, I can highly recommend “Solar do Castelo Hotel“, part of the Heritage Collection.

Solar Do Castelo is a romantic boutique hotel at the top of Alfama. Being located between the walls of the Sao Jorge Castle, it is very central and you can reach almost everything in Lisbon by foot.
The rooms are cosy and charming, a perfect setting for your stay in Lisbon.
São Jorge castle is also an amazing place, as there are incredible views. It is one of the most visited monuments in Portugal and is located on a hill, overlooking the historic city center of Lisbon. Another beautiful spot for sunset!
Where to eat
Tazza in Giro: a cute Italian restaurant with many vegetarian and vegan options.

Frutaria Cafe: fresh produce and an amazing brunch menu & cold pressed juices. The açai bowls are delicious!

Dear Breakfast: the best brunch in Lisbon. I loved the pancakes and the coffee.

Populi by Terra Nova: A charming restaurant on the main square of Lisbon.
